In a significant expansion of its flight operations, Southwest Airlines has declared the inauguration of daily nonstop services from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to both Baltimore and Nashville, starting June 5, 2025. This development positions Southwest Airlines at the forefront of enhancing air travel connectivity from San Francisco, providing passengers with greater flexibility and direct access to two key metropolitan areas in the United States.

Operating out of the Harvey Milk Terminal 1, the latest award-winning terminal at SFO, Southwest Airlines continues to leverage its strategic position to offer top-tier services to its passengers. The introduction of these routes not only caters to the growing demand for direct and efficient travel options but also strengthens the airline’s network, reinforcing its commitment to facilitating seamless travel experiences across various destinations.

This expansion by Southwest Airlines is part of its broader strategy to increase its operational footprint and provide enhanced service offerings to its customers. With the new nonstop flights, passengers traveling from San Francisco to Baltimore or Nashville will enjoy the convenience of direct routes, reducing travel time and providing a more streamlined travel experience.

As these new services commence, they are expected to meet the needs of both business and leisure travelers looking for reliable and expedient connections between these cities. This route expansion is a clear indicator of Southwest Airlines’ ongoing efforts to adapt to the needs of modern travelers and a robust signal of its growth trajectory in the competitive aviation market.

“We are very excited to welcome Southwest Airlines’ new destinations from SFO next summer,” said Airport Director Ivar C. Satero. “With this announcement, travelers can look forward to enjoying more of Southwest’s fantastic value together with SFO’s award-winning, world-class airport experience. We thank Southwest for their continued commitment to SFO and know these additional flights will be a success.”
